Alleyn’s is where 400 years of heritage, tradition and resourcefulness meet the liberal, exciting energy of South-east London – it is dynamic, enterprising, creative and full of fun!
Based in Dulwich, Alleyn’s is one of the country’s leading co-educational independent schools with a history of outstanding academic achievement and co-curricular success.
The school enjoys first-class facilities, including a professional theater and newly-refurbished swimming pool with Olympic timing system.
It also runs extensive Duke of Edinburgh, CCF and outreach programmes.
This year, the school celebrated outstanding examination results, with more than 56 per cent of GCSE grades at top grade 9 and 55 per cent of A-level grades at A*.
In all, 83 percent of students in the upper school progressed to their first-choice university, with many advancing to top centers of learning in the UK and overseas, including Oxbridge, Russell Group universities and prestigious US universities like Harvard.
Head Jane Lunnon (Tatler Independent School Head of the Year, 2020) describes Alleyn’s as: “A school at ease with itself, where there is space for our young people to be whoever they want to be, try new things and discover who they are in a highly supportive, generous and friendly community built on mutual trust and respect..”
The school welcomes applications from children of all backgrounds, offering means-tested bursaries for those who might flourish at Alleyn’s but who may not be able to meet the fees.
There are academic scholarships as well as scholarships for art, drama, music, DT and sport.
