Friday January 13

The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA) will host a networking breakfast with the Berks County Commissioners, 7:30 to 9:30 am, DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, 701 Penn St., Reading. Attendees will hear an update on the commissioners’ goals for 2023, including economic development, Imagine Berks, 2030 planning initiatives, American Rescue Plan funding, the restoration of passenger rail and many other issues in the county. The county’s new Chief Operations Officer, Kevin Barnhardt, will share projects he’s worked on as a commissioner in 2022 and his vision of him for the county as he moves into this new leadership role. Berks LaunchBox presents a webinar “Step-by-Step Class to Build a Business Model Canvas,” from 6:30 to 7:30 pm Learn how to craft a business plan in a one-page summary with the Business Model Canvas — which shows the feasibility, desirability, and viability of your business. Attendees will learn how to articulate their value proposition, how they deliver value, and how to measure that value.
