A special prom brought smiles to Hemet special education students Friday, April 29.
The Mardi Gras-themed event took place at Tahquitz High School and was the first special education prom since officials canceled the event two years ago due to the coronavirus pandemic, organizer Odalmy Cecala said in an email.

The late-morning event featured dancing and music and included special education students from Hemet and West Valley high schools.
