The Metaverse season kicked off in Dubai with a successful MetaWeek Summit, bringing together world experts on building in the Metaverse and Web3 building and boosting cutting-edge technologies adoption. The MetaWeek Summit took place on Sept. 12 and 13, 2022 at Grand Hyatt Dubai. Insightful sessions on stage brought together the brightest minds of the Metaverse industry and the Dubai community.
Digitization of communities’ spiritual life was discussed during a fireside chat with Juwan Lee, founder and chairman of NexChange Group, and Elie Abadie, senior Rabbi at the Jewish Council of the Emirates and a rabbi at the Association of Gulf Jewish Communities. Pax.world founder Frank Fitzgerald and BitForex Jason Luo shared their visions on how the Metaverse will nurture the business environment and the blockchain and digital assets industry. One of the most anticipated sessions of the day, “Sustainability goals and global social impact,” impressed the audience with a number of use cases and projects advancing this field and changing people’s lives for good.
NexChange Group founder and chairman Juwan Lee said:
“We’re very excited about the MetaWeek Summit bringing together so many amazing people from the tech, business, art and investor communities. We’re creating new connections in the world of digital innovation, putting the spotlight on Dubai as the frontrunner in developing the digital economy and the importance of the ecosystem.”
The NFT sessions were a true blast on both stages of the summit: NFTs utility and marketing, and the speakers’ insights set the hottest trends of the market, while investors and venture capitalists from all around the world flooded the stages to share their unique perspectives on how capital will flow in the Web3 space. Experts on sustainability delivered unique insights on how Web3 helps address climate change and carbon credits challenges. One of the biggest themes of the day was regulation and government policies towards Web3 and blockchain initiatives, with experts representing MENA, Africa, Barbados, the United States and the global regulatory perspective. The panel on digital asset market trends gathered a full room, with proponents of stablecoins and digital assets defining the current and future directions for the market and overall mass adoption of digital currencies. The all-star panel session on Metaverse architecture touched upon a number of points such as improved user experience, security and accessibility, interoperability of different verses and tech infrastructure.
