Fake Currency Racket Busted, 3 Arrested | Hyderabad News

Hanumakonda: In a joint operation, Task Force sleuths and Hanamkonda Police on Thursday Arrested three persons in relation to circulation of fake currency in Warangal city while two others are absconding. The police seized fake currency with a face value of Rs 7,54,000, original net cash of Rs 1 lakh, black paper Bundles, four keypad phones, five smartphones and one four wheeler.
The Accused were identified as Sorlam PrasadJanagam Bhagya Laxmi and Nallagoni Ravinder Goud. The absconded Accused were identified as Shekar and Srikanth.
Speaking to the media, task force Additional DCP Vaibhav Raghunath Gaikwad said, a total fake currency of Rs 7,54,000 from their possession. The persons circulated fake currency (paper note currency) with an intention to use them as genuine currency. The Accused, Sorlam Prasad, along with Shekar and Srikanth were circulating the fake currency. During the interrogation, they confessed to the crime. ”
The Additional DCP said that the Accused came to Warangal in a car week days ago and met with an Asha worker, Janagam Bhagya Laxmi, and Nallagoni Ravinder Goud and exchanged Rs 3 lakh in fake currency with Rs 1 lakh of genuine money. Sorlam Prasad, Bhagya Laxmi and Ravinder Goud were nabbed on the spot while Shekar and Srikanth managed to escaped from the scene. The case has been registered at Hanmakonda police station.
